A series of 1-ethyl-7-methyl, 4-dihydro-4-oxo-N-substituted-1,8-naphthyndine-3-carboxamido derivatives (1-8) as prodrugs and 6-substituted quinolones were prepared. Rapresentatives of the new compounds were subjected to microbiological screening.
